The 39th annual Hague Arts Fair will be held Saturday and Sunday, August 7-8, 2010, at the Hague Community Center on Route 8. Doors open at 10 am both days. The fair will stay open until 4 pm Saturday and 3 pm Sunday.
More than 50 vendors will be on hand — some familiar faces from past years and some who are exhibiting for the first time this year. Jewelry, photography, baby gifts, woodcarvings, baskets, candles, pottery, stained glass, paintings and prints, quilted items, clothing, tote bags, maple syrup and other food items… these are just some of the huge variety of items you’ll find at the fair. Whether you’re looking for a gift for someone else or a treat for yourself, you’re likely to find it at the Hague Arts Fair.
The event just keeps getting better and better. The quality of the crafts as well as the variety of vendors increases with each passing year.
Food and beverages will also be available, including the ever-popular kettle corn. Make your plans to stop by the Hague Community Center either Saturday or Sunday. Spend some time talking to the craftspeople about their work and shopping among the many stands.

Monday, July 19th, 2010So far, this summer has been one of those where you really just want to hang out in or on the lake as much as possible, But if you can tear yourself away from the lake for a few hours, we recommend a visit to the Ticonderoga Street Fest, which will be held Saturday, July 31, from 10 am to 4 pm, along downtown Montcalm Street. From the corner of Lake George Avenue to the corner of Champlain Avenue you’ll find arts and crafts vendors, specialty food kiosks, sidewalk sales and a farmers’ market. You might also want to check out some of the displays — for instance of antique cars, boats and more. (more…)
