Kiwanis Club of Ticonderoga, Inc.

Meetings are held every Thursday at 12:15 PM
The Kiwanis Club of Ticonderoga, Inc., organized in 1927, has for more than 70 years served Ticonderoga, Hague and certain other surrounding communities as a service club. At September 30, 1997, it had 63 members. The Club which seeks to have among its members the business and community leaders of its area, holds weekly luncheon meetings. The first meeting of each month is a business meeting; there are speakers on a wide variety of topics of interest at the other luncheon meetings each month which members find informative and entertaining. Members find the camaraderie with other members very rewarding.

Recent service projects undertaken by the Club include playground equipment and trees in Percy Thompson Bicentennial Park, the awning for shade at the nursing home, a concession stand at the high school football field, a shelter and volley ball court at the Ticonderoga skating rink, a skating rink and picnic area at the Hague Community Center, a sign at the Hague visitor’s center, Christmas parties for senior citizens, Christmas toys for needy children, ice skating parties, a Bicycle Rodeo (to teach Bicycle safety), sponsorship of the Key Club in the high school and a little league team , scholarships for high school seniors, and much more.
